When we left San Diego, we took the long, scenic route to Las Vegas. We drove through Anzo-Borrega State Park, the West Shores of the Salton Sea, Joshua Tree & the Mojave. It was an epic adventure. Here is map image of our path:

Neither of us had ever seen desert before. We were awe struck when we got to Anzo-Borrega. It was road stretched out as far as the eye could see, rocks piled on rocks, yellow soil & clear blue skies. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
