Whoa! Is it December already? Let me dust the cobwebs off from this ole’ blog. Sorry for my long and mysterious absence. You know when you’re super busy one day & then the next thing you know, it’s been two weeks? Well, it’s been like that.

Now that I’m back, I must say, I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon. I’m finding it’s hard to be 100% committed to the blog & 100% committed to work & still manage to have a life. So, I am going to slow down just a little. Instead of posting 3 times a week, I will try to post twice a week (maybe only once on those crazy hectic weeks). Maybe that will prevent me from having these long absences again in the future. And boy do I have lots of goodies I want to share with you in the future!

For now, here is a peek at what I’ve been up to. Last weekend to celebrate a belated Thanksgiving, we had ourselves a Friendsgiving. Paul, the owner of Central, a local bar & grill, let us host it there. In the past, Mr. FGK & I have hosted in our teeny tiny apartment. This was waaaaay better!

We had friends from all around the world join us. It was another potluck, which is clearly my favorite kind of party. Conveniently, we’ve managed to surround ourselves with more than a handful of friends who just happen to be amazing cooks. The spread couldn’t have been more delicious or more abundant. I just couldn’t eat enough…until I did. Then I just couldn’t stay awake.

My friend, Michelle, took over the decorating duties. Didn’t she do an amazing job? She’s Irish, so this was her first official Thanksgiving where she got to decorate & really embrace the holiday. She really nailed it! It was so cozy & festive.

We also set up a photo station. I just put my camera on a tripod in front & set it to a timer. That way people could just hit the button then take pictures.

The best part of this weekend was that I was with family. My friends are certainly family to me. But my cousin Preston has been there at Thanksgiving with me for as long as I can remember. He & his girlfriend Emily live in Busan so they were able to come for the weekend. It really felt like home to have them there.
